Obama Strikes Back at Palin: Should He Have Remained Silent?

President Barack Obama took measures to dismiss Sarah Palin and her new book, telling CBS News White House correspondent Chip Reid, "Obviously Mrs. Palin is out there selling books right now ... She and I have different political philosophies and it's probably not the person I look to to see how our administration is doing."

Some suggest that the President should have remained silent on the issue, even after the Alaskan spitfire gave him a "failing grade" in an interview with Barbara Walters.

  • Obama's indescretion(s) don't surprise me. After all, he is the "CHIEF CLOWN OF THE WHITE HOUSE CIRCUS". Shameful he is so out of touch with the heart of America. Instead spending most of his time patting his own back. Listen to how many times he uses "I" in his speeches! Haha, seriously?? He's quite amusing and quite a joke.

  • Sarah Palin is an ignorant, uninformed airhead. We had hoped that we had seen and heard the last of her after she cost McCain the election. She should just go back to Alaska and disappear from the public eye. She's an embarrassment to the country. She certainly shouldn't attempt to judge intelligent people - she's not qualified! President Obama was absolutely right! Yeah Obama!!!

  • I saw the Barbara Walters interview and the Hannity interview. She made very valid points in both! He promised lower unemployment rates, but they've gone into double digits. Our national security is at risk because he's had a decision to make for three months now.

  • Absolutel he should keep his quips to himself. Perhaps she makes him a bit nervous. Don't see where he has done anyting spectacular yet and she may just be a threat. He needs to show more dignity as our President. He is too Hollywood, and that place is one french fry short of a Happy Meal.

  • Palin had no problem voicing her opinion on Obama, he just replied that their philosophies are different...he probably wishes her luck on her book sales. And good for John McCain's crew for standing up for themselves.
    That comment from Palin about Couric and self-esteem was over the top. Didn't Sarah go to many colleges to be a JOURNALIST?

  • Sarah Palin isn't the best person to comment on someone like Pres. Obama. She even quit her job in the government! And he's entitled to voice out his own opinion just like everybody else. Give him time, after all he inherited a backlog.
