John Mayer: I Equate Dating with Punishment & Shame

John Mayer has been romantically connected to Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt, but admits that he has issues with women and dating.

The singer/songwriter revealed to the New York Times that in his head, he believes women get him in trouble. "I can’t even explain to you how terrible that feels, that I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution. It’s a nightmare," Mayer, 32, told the newspaper.

He continued, "I should be having sex with more girls."

Mayer's fourth album Battle Studies was released Tuesday, Nov. 17 and he revealed what he didn't want the album to be interpreted as, saying, "I’m not going to let it be the record. I think if you’re listening to Battle Studies and you think it’s a record about high-profile relationships, I haven’t done a good enough job.”

  • This guy is a step away from coming out of the closet and Aniston fans want him link with her. This is what make Jennifer Aniston so desperate and pathetic. This guy is a douche bag but that's all Jen can wish for. He is desperate for media attention.
