Nicole Richie: It's Important for Me to Stay in Bed & Recover

Nicole Richie is opening up to her fans and supporters for the first time since she was hospitalized for a reported case of pneumonia earlier this month.

Richie posted the following blog entry entitled "Thank You":

"I'd like to thank you all for the kind words and well wishes over the past few weeks…Right now it's important for me to stay in bed and recover. Reading all of your messages on Twitter and my Web site has really brightened my spirits and I am so grateful for the support. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and wish you a happy Thanksgiving."

Richie also apologized for not making scheduled appearances that were important to her.
