According to court documents obtained by "The Insider," Courtney Love's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has been placed under temporary guardianship.

A Los Angeles court has granted Wendy O'Connor and Kimberly Dawn Cobain guardianship over the 17-year-old. O'Connor is the mother of the late Kurt Cobain and Kimberly Cobain is the former Nirvana rocker's younger sister, says the Associated Press.

The court documents do not indicate the reason for the guardianship, which is in effect until February 10, 2010. The temporary guardians, however, do not have authority over the teenager's trust.
