Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock and Matt Damon all pulled double duty this year, getting two noms each. Meryl is nominated for 'Julie & Julia' and 'It's Complicated,' Sandra for 'The Proposal' and 'The Blind Side,' and Matt for 'The Informant!' and 'Invictus.'
In addition to George's best actor in a drama nom, honors went to Jeff Bridges ('Crazy Heart'), Colin Firth (A Single Man'), Morgan Freeman ('Invictus') and Tobey Maguire ('Brothers').
Joining Sandra in the best actress in a drama category are Emily Blunt ('The Young Victoria') Helen Mirren ('The Last Station') Carey Mulligan ('An Education') and newcomer Gabourey Sidibe ('Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire.')
This year's best picture, drama nominees are 'Avatar,' 'The Hurt Locker,' 'Inglorious Basterds,' 'Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire,' 'Up in the Air.'; best motion picture, musical or comedy nominations went to '(500) Days of Summer,' 'The Hangover,' 'It's Complicated,' 'Julie & Julia,' and 'Nine.'
On the small screen, best comedy noms went to perennial favorite "30 Rock," plus "Entourage," "The Office" and newcomers "GLEE" and "Modern Family." Best drama noms are "Big Love," "Dexter," "House," "Mad Men," and HBO's sexy "True Blood."
Tina Fey, Edie Falco, Toni Collette, Courteney Cox, and Lea Michele are up for best actress, TV comedy, while Alec Baldwin, Steve Carell, Thomas Jane, Matthew Morrison, David Duchovny took noms for best actor, TV comedy.
In the best actor, TV drama category, Simon Baker, Michael C. Hall, Jon Hamm, Hugh Laurie, and Bill Paxton took the noms, and Glenn Close, January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Anna Paquin, and Chloe Sevigny were honored with best actress, TV drama nominations.
