Roger Waters is amongst the performers taking part in the VH1 "Save The Music" foundation's 10th anniversary event, to be held on September 20th, 2007. The show will take place at the Lincoln Center in New York City, and other performers taking part will include Jon Bon Jovi, and John Mayer. Honorees at the event will include former President Bill Clinton, his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton, alongside Mariah Carey, as well as the organization's founder John Sykes. The event will recognise the contribution that these people have made to the foundation, helping change children's lives for the better. The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as a part of each child's complete education. Since 1997, the foundation has provided more than $34 million of new musical instruments to over 1,400 schools in 80 communities, affecting the lives of more than 800,000 public school children. More information can be found at VH1.com, where tickets for the event are also available. The event, or atleast parts of it, should also be televised on VH1.
