Jimmy Page named Officer of the Order of the British Empire

Guitar legend Jimmy Page was among some of Britain's greatest musicians to be included on Queen Elizabeth's annual list of birthday honours this year. Jimmy Page was named an officer of the Order of the British Empire for his charity work on behalf of poor Brazilian children with Task Brazil and the ABC Trust charity organizations. After his wife Jimena set up the charity Jimmy has spent the past decade raising money and raising the profile of the cause. Jimmy was presented the award on Dec 14th 2005 at Buckingham Palace in London. He said he was overwhelmed to be given the award.
