Russell Crowe is among the Australian celebrities who have joined forces to give advice on the new "Raising Children" DVD.  The five-hour DVD will be given to all new parents in Australia over the next two years. It is a guide to parenting children for the first five years including topics of child health and development, family management and more.

The actor tells of how a father should support his partner in all aspects of parenthood,

Your job is being supportive . . . whether that's going out and buying pickles at 3am when she's pregnant or whether that's doing whatever you can to make sure she's getting enough sleep when she's in the feeding process with the baby.

The Oscar winner was selected to participate in the video due to his parenting style to sons Charlie, 3, and Tennyson, 1, states Angela Conway, Australian Family Association Victorian president.

He is a doting dad. What parents need is practical advice that is authentic and realistic. They need to know it's workable, realistic and practical, and if this helps to do this, it's great.
