Inside the Grammys Red Carpet with Niecy Nash

"The Insider"'s Niecy Nash was front and center on the Grammys red carpet with all the behind-the-scenes scoop. Whether it was dishing with proud parents Heidi Klum and Seal, or getting the 411 from Russell Brand on his engagement to Katy Perry, Niecy brought her characteristic good humor to the event.

Niecy shared a laugh with Kathy Griffin, who was up for a Grammy. Kathy asked Niecy, "If I'm not so fortunate to win, what should my facial expression be when they put [the camera] on me?"

"If you don't win, and the camera zooms to you, hit 'em with this," Niecy replied, letting loose with a lip-curling snarling look.

And Niecy discussed two judges -- one who is arriving, and one who is leaving, with "American Idol"'s Kara DioGuardi.

Niecy asked Kara if she is going to be the next Simon Cowell when he leaves at the end of this season. Kara replied, "Noooo, do you think I could be that mean?"

And when it comes to new judge Ellen DeGeneres, Kara said, "She knows when it's not right, and she'll say it. ... She's also kind when she needs to be and she's funny, man! She cracks good jokes."
