Aishwarya Rai may not be a household name yet in the United States, but she should be.

The former Miss World is quite possibly the most beautiful woman on the planet. She's also a major Bollywood star (that's the Indian film industry, in case you're out of the loop) and the wife of fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan.

(They're kind of like the Brangelina of South Asia.)

As for Aishwarya's cross-over to American cinema, it's happening right now.

The doe-eyed beauty is currently starring in "The Last Legion" with Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley and began taping "The Pink Panther 2" this month. Before you know it, Aishwarya will have as many fans in the United States as she does in India. But you can say you knew her when.
