Owen Wilson’s Suicide Attempt - Hospitalized

Owen Wilson was taken to the hospital earlier today in L.A.

Santa Monica Police issued the following statement to TMZ:

“On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10 pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated.”

The 911 call came in at 11:59 a.m. to the L.A. Fire Department. No additional information was released.

Star Magazine reports that Owen is being treated for “a very serious condition.” He was stabilized and transferred to another hospital.

Sources from Star say that Owen will officially be listed as “dehydrated” but he will then go through detox.

Police were present at the hospital and at least one well known Los Angeles criminal attorney was also there.

Meanwhile, The National Enquirer is reporting that Owen attempted suicide, saying he “sliced his left wrists and took an indeterminate amount of pills.”

I have no idea what’s going on here, but it sounds like this could be some serious stuff. I love Owen Wilson and just cannot believe that this would be a suicide attempt.

UPDATE (Allie): You can’t help but wonder, if this might have something to do with it. Kate Hudson and Dax Shepard were spotted getting romantic in the grocery store while out shopping in Pacific Palisades on August 25th.
