Miss South Carolina says she can laugh at the whole thing in hindsight. She totally didn’t mean, and such, that US Americans and The Iraq, and such, need maps. Lauren explains:
“Everything did come at me at once. And I made a mistake — everybody makes a mistake — I’m human.
“Personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on a map.”
Well that’s good.
Miss Upton told her local paper she “I didn’t do anything wrong. I wasn’t expecting [the question]. I lost my train of thought.”
