"The Nines" isn't nearly as pretentious as the similarly structured "The Fountain," the ponderous mess that came out last year from Darren Aronofsky, but it will leave you scratching your head at the metaphysical leaps it takes.Whatever. As long as there's no National Lampoon emblazoned anywhere near the title of the film, I'm sure it's a vast improvement from any of Ryan's recent work. Unless I'm referring to his ab work, which is always consistently stellar. We here at ASL tip our hats to you, sir.
