Ryan Reynolds Plays Three Different Characters in His Most Recent Film, All Have Great Abs

I'm not going to attempt to understand what exactly Ryan's roles are in his new movie, "The Nines," by John August, suffice to say that what I learned from MSNBC's review of the film is that he plays three different characters in the film, an actor, a creator of a TV series starring in a reality show and then a character in the series he created. At least, I think I've got that right. And although it sounds like it might be difficult to understand what's going on in the movie, the reviewer seems to think that at least it's entertaining.

"The Nines" isn't nearly as pretentious as the similarly structured "The Fountain," the ponderous mess that came out last year from Darren Aronofsky, but it will leave you scratching your head at the metaphysical leaps it takes.
Whatever. As long as there's no National Lampoon emblazoned anywhere near the title of the film, I'm sure it's a vast improvement from any of Ryan's recent work. Unless I'm referring to his ab work, which is always consistently stellar. We here at ASL tip our hats to you, sir.
