More Baby-Mama Drama for Madonna

Madonna’s quest to formally adopt son David hit yet another snag; the adoption official assigned to oversee the case was replaced after reportedly “compromising” his position by becoming too friendly with Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie.

The director of Malawi’s child welfare services, Penston Kilembe, was due to travel to London this week, to determine whether Banda can be officially adopted by the couple, but he has now been taken off the case after being accused of becoming “too cozy” with the stars.

He has been replaced by Officer Simon Chisdale, who will visit Madonna and Ritchie over the next few days. One official simply says, “The whole thing is being looked at with fresh eyes.”

The adoption is expected to be complete by February of next year. At that time, Madonna reportedly plans to adopt another child from the same Malawian orphanage where she found 13-month old David last October.
