Oscar-winning actress, fashion plate, celebrity mom, and winner of the genetic lottery Gwyneth Paltrow is teaming up with iron chef Mario Batali for a cooking show on public television.
Why don't you marinate in that information for a bit and then click over to the jump.
Reports have surfaced that the blonde star is heading to Spain to co-host a new cooking program. She is expected to present a show with her pal, chef Mario Batali...While it is unknown what type of cuisine will be featured on the Spanish television show, Batali’s specialty is Italian.
Paltrow however, loves her Latin eats.
“I eat lots of Spanish stuff, the crazy fish things and the eels. I love it all,” she was quoted as saying. “But I still don’t eat pork or beef, so I won’t be cooking that.”
The program will be distributed by American Public Television and will be on public stations across the U.S. at a later date.
Now, I love me some Gwyneth, I do, and I'm all for supporting public television, but I'm just not sure I can stomach the sight of Mario Batali cooking a disgusting eel even if pretty Gwyneth is looking on. I mean, Mario is a great chef, HANDS DOWN. But...am I the only one who looks at his appearance---particularly how flushed he gets---and truly worries about the state of his cardiovascular health? It really does stress me out to watch him prepare a meal on Iron Chef America. He gets all sweaty and red-faced and I'm a bundle of freaking nerves. I couldn't care less who wins the competition, I JUST WANT MARIO TO LIVE.
And EELS? Honey, the only places eels belong are in the water or on your feet as a pair of buttery shoes. NEVER ON A PLATE. NEVER IN YOUR MOUTH!
