21st Century Phone Service

I’m a very expressive person when I talk, especially when I’m sitting face to face with someone. I often feel that my hands carry most of the emotions when I talk and when I talk on the phone I sometimes feel as though I don’t express myself enough. Imagine talking with your hands and feeling like your hands are tied behind your back. Well, that’s me when I am on the telephone.

Packet8, Internet Phone Service has some VoIP solutions that look very attractive and I have been thinking of trying them out. They offer a standalone video phone that looks awesome but they also offer the Tango which allows you to turn your existing analog phone into a video phone with a sleek, thin design with a 180 degree rotating camera.

The Packet8 Tango Video Phone sounds seductive doesn’t it? With it’s smooth full-motion video, delay free audio, a 5 inch display, built in router and easy setup you couldn’t ask for more, well except the fact that using VoIP would save me about $45 per month as well.

A set of Packet8 Tangos would be perfect when we call my dad up in Oregon, then he could see the kids and we could get a visual on how he’s doing. Of course, he wouldn’t be able to lie and tell us he’s doing fine, but then again, he would have to sit and watch me talk with my hands, and I’m not sure how much of that he could take.
