Ain’t No Drama Like a Hair Drama

Weeks before the awards show, “Britney had requested his two female assistants [to do her extensions] since she prefers women around her,” and was disappointed when Paves himself arrived, says a Spears source. The stylist soon left, taking his hair with him.

“He bailed,” says the source. Says Paves’s rep: “Ken made the professional decision not to do her hair for the VMAs.”

Britney also had wardrobe issues: she reportedly became agitated when MTV offered her stage wardrobe she didn’t think “was sexy enough.”

“MTV wanted her to wear a corset outfit. It would have looked great and covered a lot of things up, but she hated it and didn’t think it was sexy enough.”

Perhaps if homegirl would have bothered showing up on time for rehearsals, things onstage would have went a bit smoother. According to a Page Six source, Britney arrived in Las Vegas later than she was scheduled, and blew off dance rehearsal to hang out in her hotel room.

“She went to her hotel room and ordered a bunch of food and some frozen margaritas,” the spy said. “She came down, like, an hour later with a frozen margarita in her hand.”

Classy.
