Viggo Mortensen tattooed reminder of son on wrist
Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen recently revealed he has a touching reminder of his son tattooed on his wrist. Viggo, 48, said when now-19 year old son Henry was learning to write, he would scribble his initial “H” all over his father’s arms. Viggo was so moved by the gesture, he had one of Henry’s “H’s” tattooed on his wrist.

When he was little and he first started to write, he wanted to write Hs everywhere, all over my arms... It was either that or the wall, so I said, “Go ahead." One day he put one right there and it was beautiful and I thought it would be a nice memory to have... I went right down to a tattoo parlor on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and had a guy tattoo over it.

Henry’s mother is punk legend Exene Cervenka. Exene and Viggo divorced in 1997 after a lengthy separation.
