Katie Couric's daughters excited about Gossip Girl
CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, 50, makes sure that daughters Elinor Tully "Ellie" Monahan and Caroline Couric "Carrie" Monahan may not be that interested in mom's career but that doesn't mean they don't watch other things on television. Katie revealed,

They watch The O.C. They're very excited about Gossip Girl. I don't think they pay a lot of attention to the news right now. They're 16 and 11.

Although the girls have other favorites, they do catch mom on the air once in awhile.

They do watch my broadcast occasionally. I give them a pop quiz when I come home for dinner.

Ellie and Carrie's dad is the late Jay Monahan who passed away from cancer in 1998.
