Jolie Makes Deathbed Promise to Marry

After spending so much time trying to convince Brad Pitt that their children are the only binding connection that they need, sources speculate that after a promise to Marcheline Bertrand, on her deathbed, her daughter Angelina Jolie will marry her boyfriend, Brad Pitt.

Angie’s mother sadly lost her battle with ovarian cancer last week.  But not before she tried to convince her daughter to get married.  Many speculate that it is this final act from her mother that will convince Angie to finally legally marry Brad, a topic that has been on and off since the two hooked up. 

Doesn’t this go against their vow to each other, and apparently the world, to not marry until all people were free to do so?

Well, it certainly seems that way.  While we will have to wait and see as to whether or not this will actually happen, it seems like Angie may actually give in and use her mother’s insistence as the instigator for their marriage.  Prior to this alleged discussion with her mother, Angie had announced that she and Brad understood marriage is a sacred and special bond, and that until all people were free to marry they would not do so. 

There is nothing like using celebrity status to combat a social or legislative issue.

And to then potentially go back on their claimed status of that issue.

After all, what would be more important: A mother’s dying wish to have her daughter marry the man who fathered one, and adopted two, of their three children or the couple’s assertion that marriage between the two of them would be a slap in the face to all the individuals that had an equally powerful love but due to government restrictions could not marry?
