Hey, we love “Like a Virgin” and “Holiday” as much as the next girl, but is Madonna enough of a musician to land in the coveted hall of fame?
Well, yes. Her longevity in the industry and ability to reinvent herself time and again… not to mention her talent for staying sexy into her twilight years (yes, we know she’s only 49) has kept Madonna on the charts since the 1980s.
Other nominees include the Beastie Boys, Donna Summer, John Mellencamp, and others – in total, nine will be considered, but only five will be honored. Industry professionals, journalists and musicians do the voting, so let’s see if Madonna makes the cut.
