Charlize Theron Sued (Not By People Who Saw Aeon Flux)
Academy Award-winning pothead Charlize Theron is being sued by the Weil watch company, which claims the actress breached an agreement she signed to be photographed wearing only their pieces, and to appear in no other advertisements involving jewelry. The lawsuit, filed with the New York State Supreme Court Monday, alleges several violations of the contract by Theron, including a 2006 instance when she was photographed wearing a Dior timepiece, and a February 2006 to December 2006 one where she appeared in an advertisement for an AIDS charity wearing a necklace. The suit does not specify how much Weil is seeking in damages, but the company claims to have spent over $20 million on the Theron campaign.

Wow, $20 million - all to have Charlize Theron wear their watches. And what did they hope to gain by this? Honestly, the way some of these companies throw money around, you'd think they were being run by spastic monkeys.

And as for Charlize - well, if she did breach a contract like that, she deserves to get sued. However, in her defense, it is sometimes difficult to remember little things like what kind of watch you're supposed to wear when you're completely stoned. I'm sure Charlize never meant to violate the terms of her contract, but you know how those things go. It's like, you know, sometimes you just space things. Like...far out...you know?
