Amy Winehouse Puts Cracky Hubby Before Career

Amy Winehouse is scheduled to begin a career-reviving tour in November, but friends are afraid her husband’s legal troubles might sideline her performances. Amy’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is due in court on November 12 to face assault charges, but Amy is supposed to play a show in Manchester the same night.

Family friends say Amy’s dad Mitch is terrified that if Blake is banged up, it may tip fragile Amy over the edge.

A source said: “Blake comes first in Amy’s life, everything else comes second, including her career. She doesn’t care that she has a gig that night. Nothing is going to stop her being in court with him. They plan to spend a week holed up together to prepare for the worst.

“Her family are so worried she won’t be able to cope if the worst happens. Mitch has said he wanted to get Amy away from Blake in the past, but he knows this would break her heart. We just hope she doesn’t have another breakdown.”

This won’t be the first time Amy has cancelled gigs because of Blake’s court dates.

A pal added: “As far as the record company is concerned, she will go ahead with the dates. But the last time she pulled out she didn’t tell them she had planned to do so all along, even though her pals knew.”

I guess those rumors we heard last week about Amy leaving Blake turned out not to be true, huh?
