Paula Abdul Gets Sued. Straight Up.

Pilgrim Films and Television (PFTV) is suing Paula Abdul for allegedly trying to sell the idea for a reality show based on Paula's life entitled "Hey Paula" which PFTV had developed in conjunction with the "American Idol" judge. TMZ reports that PFTV had been working on the show idea with Abdul and her people until Paula's demand to have ultimate say over the final edits killed the project.

The suit claims PFTV was trying to get the show back on track by selling it to Oxygen. But PFTV claims Abdul allegedly came clean and told the peeps at PFTV that "she had secretly taken PFTV's 'Hey Paula' project ... to Bravo." The suit claims she never mentioned that Russo was allegedly in on it. On January 12, Bravo announced "Hey Paula" will debut sometime this year on the cable network.
Whether or not Paula was justified in going behind PFTV's back to Bravo, I think the moral of this story is it should be understood that doing business with crazy should be done so at your own risk.
