VISITING US actor Adrian Grenier claims to be nothing like the smooth ladies man he plays in hit TV series Entourage, but the party chicks of Sydney aren't buying it.
The small screen stud found himself in a classic Vinnie Chase moment on Thursday night when two glamour girls were vying for his affection - both in front of the cameras and in Hugo's at the Cross.
Confidential can reveal Bondi pilates instructor Amba Eggleton has been involved with Grenier since they met at Icebergs restaurant earlier this week.
But it was Eggleton's girlfriend, fashion publicist Kellee Cruse, who jumped in on the, um, chase following the Red Carpet Guide to Sydney event on Thursday.
After dining at Otto, man of the moment Chase headed to Hugo's to meet up with Eggleton - but ended up spending most of the night getting cosy with Cruse, who is engaged to be married.
"They were sitting very close together, whispering in each other's ears and openly flirting," one partygoer said.
Cruse yesterday admitted to Confidential there had been an attraction but insisted Grenier's affections were for Eggleton.
"Maybe there was a flirtation - he's a lovely guy - but he's into Amba and I'm engaged," Cruse said. "We're just friends - I'm not going to move in on Amba."
The late night shenanigans between the trio continued up at George St bar Hemmesphere until 2am, when Grenier and Cruse separately disappeared into the lift at the venue.
If only Foxtel's Arena channel had their cameras rolling, they might well have shot their very own episode of Entourage _ in Sydney and starring local talent.
