VH1 Hip-Hop Honors is a Hip-Hop-Stravaganza.

And yes, I happen to think that you can tag "stravaganza" to the end of anything and it works just fine. So there. The fourth annual Hip-Hop Honors tribute was hosted by VH1 and is set to air Monday, with performances from artists whose careers span decades as well as those of the younger generation of performers, who are just now coming into their own. The event was held to pay tribute to a the hip-hop greats of days gone by and the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan was filled with performers and fans from all five boroughs of New York. Snoop Dogg was the only artist on stage to represent for the West Coast and Tracy Morgan kept things light by performing in intermittent sketches throughout the evening.

"Have you ever been hit in the head with a cell phone by Foxy Brown?" the actor, dressed like a cab driver, asked a passenger. "Then you ain't hip-hop."
I wonder if getting in a brawl on stage for no reason in particular is "hip-hop." If so, then maybe Danny Bonaduce and Johnny Fairplay were at the wrong event.
