We Celebrity Gossips are more than used to weird behavior. Stars act strange all the time for all sorts of reasons—drugs and alcohol, the pressure of living under a microscope…pure, unadulterated, love of drama? What we weren’t expecting, though, is weird behavior from Orlando Bloom. He seems a bit more grounded than the rest of Tinseltown, doesn’t he?
Apparently not the other night.
At 2:15 am on Friday, Orlando, driving a Toyota Matrix, crashed into a parked Porshe Cayanne on Vista Rd. in West Hollywood. After the collision, photographers watched him get out of the car and walk hastily away from the scene of the crime. Was he leaving the scene of a crime or just trying to avoid being photographed? It was only at the suggestion of a paparazzo that Orlando went back to his car to help the two female passengers he’d been chauffeuring. According to reports, one woman was bleeding so badly and was so disoriented that she could not stand once out of the car—she had to lay down in the street.
When all was said and done, a few cop cars had come, an ambulance, a fire truck, and even an EMT. Talk about star treatment! And although Orlando did exhibit some weird behavior directly after the crash, I think we can assume he was just in shock. Eventually, Orlando started acting like a concerned friend and even rode in the back of the ambulance with his passenger when it came for her.
Here’s a shocker—LAPD say no blood or alcohol use are suspected in association with the crash.
