Jim Carrey opens up about Jenny McCarthy

Last week, Jim Carrey spent a good portion of the press conference for his upcoming movie, The Number 23, babbling excitedly about his relationship with former Playboy Playmate, Jenny McCarthy. But that doesn't mean Jim's ready for marriage number three. He recently told "Access Hollywood" that he would "never" marry Jenny.

During the press conference, Carrey said, "I feel that our relationship happened at a time that I am more ready than I have ever been in my life to have a relationship. We also encourage each other. We're both on the same path, so it's really – real." The Number 23's director, Joel Schumacher also weighed in on Jim's relationship, stating, "This is the happiest I've ever seen Jim, and we've been friends for a really long time."

So if Jim's so happy, why isn't he going to pop the question? He told "Access Hollywood," "We're never getting married, but we're never getting divorced, which is fantastic." When "AH's" Shaun Robinson asked Carrey about buying McCarthy a ring, he said, "I bought her a Chloe purse. Isn't that good enough? For God's sake."

If Jenny starts itching for a ring and Jim's not ready to give her one, there's one thing that he might be able to do to get her to stick around: get a tattoo. During his press conference when a reporter asked about the giant tattoo he sports in The Number 23, Jim said, "Jenny liked it! It was weird – it's amazing what a tattoo does for a girl."
