The theme was the Friedland Farm and we brought in a petting zoo complete with a llama, miniature horse, baby goat, three bunnies and two chickens. All of the kids were intrigued, if not a little nervous, but they definitely enjoyed the animals.
The menu was simple- chips, pretzels, cider donuts, bread and cheese, Motts for Tots drinkboxes for the kids, beer, soda, and hot cider for the adults. Anya even blew out the candles on her own (Carvel ice cream) cake, although every kid wanted to do it themselves!
She received some nice gifts including lots of books, two Ugly Dolls, an easel, art supplies, a leotard and tutu, a tin tea set, and a Madeline doll. The weather was beautiful (crisp and sunny) and everyone (including the animals) had a great time.
FYI
-For those of you who want to reminisce about my pregnancy and Anya's early days, just click the Anya update/Danielle's pregnancy link at the footer of this post.
-The camera that took these photos is a Nikon D70.
-We borrowed the farm props like the farm from my friend Caterina who had a farm theme for her daughter Olivia's birthday in June. They had ordered the supplies from Oriental Trading. Caterina's husband Sal even painted the pig and cow sign.
-Anya's outfit is from Bonpoint. Sneakers are from stride rite.
