Celine Dion: If I Don't See It They Won't Make Me Eat
With all the talk about anorexic celebrities and models being bad role models for young girls, why hasn't Celine Dion's name come up? While she was never curvy, she's grown quite narrow and pointy over the years. Her garish make-up and dead sea-cured hair heighten the refugee effect. Will no one give this poor woman a sandwich, a fig newton, a couple of grapes even?

Maybe she's not allowed to eat until she finishes her run at Caesar's Palace. Her husband/manager, Rene, refuses to spend any more money on her costumes. Maybe she's fallen into that "you can never be too rich or too thin" mindset. She certainly looks very private golf club.

It could also be baggage she carries from her difficult childhood. As the oldest in a large family who lost their parents early on, Celine worked hard to keep her family fed and all together. Maybe there's a part of her now that won't let her truly enjoy all that life has to give, even though she's always been generous to her family. Such hard times had to leave their mark somewhere.

Still, she doesn't look healthy ... at all. Nor does she look particularly happy, but then again, it could be her idea of looking sexy. It has a certain ... something. I'm just not sure what that is.


Celine has a new album, A New Day Has Come, coming out next week. It should be another blockbuster; she's the highest selling female artist of all time. It's also probably the reason Britney's new album was pushed back a couple of weeks.
