Paris Hilton Backed Out Of Humanitarian Mission to Rwanda
Paris Hilton’s Rwandan adventure has turned out to be a non-event. The “Playing For Good Foundation” has decided to restructure their organization and has called off the planned trip.

The foundation thanked Hilton for her generosity and indicated they would get back to her at a later date about rescheduling the trip.

What can we glean from this breaking news? Either Paris got cold feet or the organization no longer saw the benefit of having Ms Hilton travel on their behalf. If they are restructuring it sounds like they may be on shaky ground. Perhaps they had hoped that linking their organization to a Hollywood celebrity name would be a boost for them. It has the odor of a major fiasco.

This new kink puts Paris Hilton in a tough spot. She has been using the publicity surrounding the upcoming trip to improve her image. The media sound bites on the subject have been less than convincing. She told Newsweek that she was “really scared and had never traveled like that.”

Rwanda will just have to get along without Paris Hilton’s help. In retrospect - Rwanda really was a leap for her.
