Hollywood Offender reports that according to the Manchester Union-Leader, funnyman Adam Sandler has donated $1 million dollars to the Manchester “Boys and Girls Club”. The announcement of his contribution came on the same day that the club launched their $6.6 million dollar fund-raising campaign called “Building Better Lives.”
Sandler shared a few words during the photo shoot to mark his endorsement of the organization.
“Hello, everybody out there in Manchester, New Hampshire-land. Did you hear they need to expand the Boys and Girls Club? They need money. I gave some of my money. I felt good about it because I have a lot of good memories of that place.”
As always, Sandler’s humor shines through no matter what he does but his endorsement in this cause is one of importance for the Manchester chapter of this great organization.
For more information on the club visit the Boys and Girls Club website and see how you can help a local chapter near you.
