David Beckham Bends It For SoCal Wildfires Charity

People reports that David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy organization is going to do their part in raising money for the Southern California fire victims. The team has scheduled a friendly soccer match for charity against the Hollywood United FC which consists of celebrities like Anthony LaPaglia, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Costas Mandylor and some other World Cup players as well.

“Our players are residents of Southern California,” said Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas. “This is a great way through soccer for us to bring some attention and, most importantly, raise some money. And, in the process, give the people another opportunity to see the stars we have here with the Galaxy.”

The Beckham’s did not come to the U.S. in search of celebrity but it is their celebrity that is now coming to the aid of others in need.
