Celebrity Baby Fit Tip 5: Exercise to help reduce postpartum depression

Brooke Shields lost the 23 pounds she gained while pregnant with daughter Grier Henchy by practicing yoga, taking spinning classes and hiking with her baby in the Baby Björn. However, she says her endurance has changed.  She has said, "I can’t do workouts at the same level I was doing before pregnancy, which has been a shock to my system.”

Exercising with her baby is also setting a great example for her little ones to practice healthy habits.  Also, pre and post partum exercise has been shown by Doctor James F. Clapp III to alleviate postpartum depression that many suffer (including Brooke, with her first pregnancy).
