Gay Australian TV personality Todd McKenney fathering baby of best friend
Openly gay Australian TV personality, Todd McKenney, 41, has announced that his best friend is carrying his biological child after a successful IVF attempt. He will not reveal the identity of the mother, but says that they are thrilled and went through rigorous IVF counselling and numerous discussion before becoming pregnant ("It also took well over a year for her to become pregnant"). The Dancing with the Stars judge says that he plans on being a hands on dad and that,

This is something that we had talked about for 20 years, but I just wanted to be sure that the conditions were right. I wanted to be sure that I was financially secure enough to look after the child and also emotionally secure enough to take on the important role of fatherhood.

The couple do not know the sex of the baby, which will arrive in May, and have not yet worked out any of the other logistics.
