Rumors have been swirling recently about Katie Holmes intentions to run in the NYC Marathon. Well she did, it’s over and she finished. Congrats Katie!
Katie Holmes started the 37th annual New York City Marathon on Sunday morning with more than 39,000 other runners and finished it 5 hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds later.
Waiting for Holmes at the finish line? Husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri, 1, who awaited her at an after-party at New York’s famous Tavern on the Green restaurant.
Us spotted Holmes, flanked by what appeared to be guards, running in a FDNY hat and matching black pants and top. The marathon’s course, a standard 26.2 miles, took Holmes through all five boroughs of the city, starting in Staten Island and finishing in Manhattan’s Central Park, where a group of friends and family members waited with Cruise to cheer her on.
