I have to say that save for the occasional cardboard cut-out attack, Paris Hilton seems to be keeping a relatively low profile these days. And her sister, Nicky, really does appear to be coming into her own, with one successful fashion event after another. The sisters recently combined their powers to promote their line of handbags that they're designing for designer Samantha Thavasa at an event in Tokyo. And I wish I knew who this wackily-dressed, emphatic-looking individual was in the top hat and sunglasses bookended by the two Hiltons--for all I know, it could be the designer herself. In any case, the two sisters look happy to be doing something constructive together that doesn't involve a table-top. And really, I'm talking about Paris mostly, because Nicky seems to have her together these days. Maybe she's rubbing off on her usually less sensible sister. Let's hope not too much. I'm thinking Paris has at least a few more years of ridiculousness in her. If not, I might have to actually consider getting a real job.
