So, as a result, she’s been put on a spinach rich diet to increase her stamina and energy.
As well as gorging on the green stuff - famous for giving strength to cartoon character Popeye - she has been asked to eat more carbohydrates, with bowls of brown rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We’re told: “Vic is under orders to have at least five small meals a day, to get her body prepared for the tour. She isn’t too happy about the plan but understands that it’s necessary if she’s to stay healthy and not burn out over the coming months.
“It’s a pretty intense - not to mention bland - regime but it’s essential she sticks to it.”
It wouldn’t be the first diet that Posh has gone on but this time she has to pile on the pounds.
The same can’t be said of the other fad schemes that she’s been partial to in the past.
These have included drinking fat-burning Chinese teas four times a day and abiding by tips in a diet book called Skinny Bitch, which is based on consuming 1,200 calories a day or less.
Posh - one of the main attractions in the official 2008 Spice Girls calendar which goes on sale today - has also tried disgusting algae and seaweed shakes.
But our source added: “This time around, Posh understands that the key is about getting stronger and if this means putting on an extra pound or two, so be it.” [Source]
