i've also had the pleasure of knowing barbara's daughter jaime dudney for probably close to ten years now (if you're a fan of as the world turns ms. dudney played troubled 'georgia') she was one of the first people i met on my initial trip to los angeles back in '97 - jaime was roommates with my college pal sara - needless to say neither of us are friends with her anymore but we've both managed to keep in touch - she's a really sweet & down to earth southern gal - i recently got to hang with her (and her crazy but cool pal nancy) when she stopped by LA a few weeks ago (she's living in nashville at the moment)
jaime just emailed me the other day - she was a drop nervous as she was asked to introduce her mom at the ceremonies (pictures are posted below) everything looks like it went off without a hitch - i knew she'd be fine! both barbara & jaime look fabulous - kudos to ms. mandrell and all the other honorees! i so need to get my ass down to nashville at some point (i have a few friends there actually) i know it'd be a complete hoot seeing ms. jaime in her element! (plus i'd love to see her kitty isabella again) popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo!
PS i've added an awesome vintage clip of barbara doing a song called midnight oil - i love the big hair - she looks adorable!
