Paris Hilton's Racist Remarks

We’ve become more and more aware of the slow integration of politics and Hollywood, what with major studio directors throwing fundraisers for presidential candidates, California electing its own Governator, and George Bush Sr. playing grab-ass with Teri Hatcher.  But, until recently, we didn’t fully comprehend how much Paris Hilton had absorbed from the current administration.  Apparently, though, as Kanye West might put it, like George W. Bush, Paris Hilton doesn’t care about black people. 

By now you may or may not have heard about a certain shocking Paris Hilton home video.  No…not the one of her and Rick Salomon.  No…not the one of her and the chubby guy with coke all over his chest.  No, this one is of Paris and her sister Nicky at a New Year’s Eve party a few years back, and it was apparently discovered amongst the trove of Paris-related treasures sold to the now defunct ParisExposed.com. 

In this latest video, Paris and Nicky dance around a house party spewing racial and otherwise offensive epithets to the delight of their other rich, white friends.  Paris mocks black people, Jews, gay people, overweight people….in other words, just about everybody who doesn’t look and/or act like her and Nicky. 

(As an aside, we’re kind of leaning towards the Hilton sisters for Anna Nicole’s murder, since news of their video went away quietly after the tabloid frenzy down in Florida.)

Despite the fact that the video has been largely ignored by the press, GLAAD is calling for a public apology from Paris and is asking sportswear company FILA to drop the blond socialite as their spokesmodel.  And Nicky Hilton’s Miami hotel project, Nicky-O, as well as her Chick clothing line, may also be on ice as a result of the fallout.
