Grey’s Anatomy Stars Show Support For Writers

Jeanette's Celebrity Corner has the scoop on the writers' strike:  The Grey’s Anatomy cast has offered up their support to the striking writers. They joined the picket line yesterday outside of Prospect Studios in Los Angeles. See more photos below.

T.R. Knight told the Associated Press:   “We’re supposed to be going until the end of May and right now our last shooting day will be Tuesday or Wednesday. As actors, we’re paid a different way than the writers, but there’s also the crew to keep in mind. They are out of work as of next Wednesday.”

T.R. was joined by Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh, Sara Ramirez, Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers, Eric Dane, and James Pickens Jr. They joined the picket line during their lunch hour in support of the Writers Guild of America strike.

  • I was raised not to cross picket lines too - but I'm still going to be bummed without new episodes. :-(

  • I think it's great to see actors supporting the writers.
  • I agree with you, Tay. Audiences don't realize what kind of work has to happen behind the scenes. The writers probably bust their asses and all theyre looking for is a little fairness. I think it's great to see actors supporting them.

  • I was raised not to cross picket lines so i really appreciate the support the cast is giving the writers. Grey's totally wouldn't be what it is without the talented writers working on the program.
