Hollyscoop reports:  As we had previously reported, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are looking to buy a house together. Unfortunately, the search doesn't seem to be going so well.


They were reportedly denied from a home in a gated community, Us Weekly reports. The neighbors apparently didn't want all those photogs that follow the couple to camp outside the posh neighborhood.


"Nicole was livid because she loved the house," a source says. "She thinks it's a BS reason, but she couldn't fight it."


So the couple is back to square one now! Time is ticking as Nicole's due date gets closer. We all know she needs to spend a lot of time and money to decorate the babies room. It still trips me out that Nicole Richie is pregnant.

  • wait wait! couldnt she work out some deal with the neighbors where joel and lionel would do an annual free concert in the gated community's cul-de-sac. free cigarettes and angsty music all around!!
