Amy’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was arrested following a police raid on the couple’s London home on Thursday. Blake Fielder-Civil is being held by police over an alleged $400,000 plot to fix a trial, according to WENN.
Winehouse “has not been charged or arrested,” her publicist Tracey Miller confirmed to MTV News on Thursday. As police took Fielder-Civil into custody, the singer told him, “Baby, I love you. I will be fine,” according to WENN.
Fielder-Civil, 25, who is in custody at a North London police station, is alleged to have attempted to halt a trial in which he and a friend, Michael Brown, are accused of assaulting a bartender, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, according to WENN. The alleged victim, James King, reportedly had been offered $400,000 to withdraw his police statement.
Winehouse’s husband was arrested along with three other men at addresses in east London on allegations that would be the U.S.equivalent of obstruction of justice. The men are being held at a police station in east London.
News of the police raid on Winehouse and Fielder-Civil’s Camden home surfaced late Thursday via a series of British reports. Officers broke down doors with crowbars an hour after the couple had left, according to reports. Authorities said investigations were ongoing and were seen carrying several boxes out of the house. Forensics photographers also entered the property, according to The Associated Press.
I guess Blake has not figured out that if he is associated with Amy, the world will be watching his every move. As such, he cannot “invite” someone to drop criminal charges for money and expect no one will find out. Duh!?!
