George Clooney and Renee Zellweger Tell W Magazine How to Outsmart Gawker

Promoting their upcoming film together, "Leatherheads," George Clooney and Renee Zellweger recently posed for the cover of W magazine and chatted with the mag about the movie, their interactions together on and off the set, and George's extreme distaste for celebrity stalking gossip blogs. Uh oh. Good thing we're not organized enough to be on his radar...yet. According to George, when Gawker first launched its "celebrity stalker," he was able to screw with the accuracy of their invention by encouraging fake sightings.

"They had 6,000 locations for me in the first day."
However, Renee contends that the actor/director is simply that prolific and able to literally be at 6,000 places at once.
"Oh, I log on every day to see where George is. Oh my God, get your things! He's at Barneys!...The problem with that is with his schedule these days, the sightings were all true. He was in all 6,000 places that morning--before lunch."
That's why I say screw relying on tips for keeping track of our celebrities. They're liars! And so our tipsters! What we need is some tranquilizer guns and a few wily bloggers with good aim so they can knock them out and tag those suckers. Now that's what I like to call journalism!
