Governor Jon Bon Jovi?

Jon Bon Jovi has political aspirations and may one day run for Governor of New Jersey. That is the reason he is holding on to his home in Red Bank according to PR guru Ken Sunshine.

Sunshine has been hired by the singer to make the connections that may eventually lead him to politics. The rep indicates Bon Jovi is frequently approached and asked to run for office.

The singer and his family have moved on to SoHo but have decided to keep their Jersey property so that establishing residency will not be an issue should he ever make the bid for Governor.

Bon Jovi seems comfortable in the company of politicians and has performed at Democratic fundraisers in support of John Kerry and Al Gore. Let’s hope he can hitch his wagon to a winning candidate in 2008. It will look better on his resume.

  • He has a good head on his shoulders and obviously not stupid or quick at making decisions. If he wasn't very smart or business savvy he wouldn't be around the public eye today. I think he has a good chance.
