Lily Allen reportedly slammed Radiohead calling them "arrogant" for choosing to release new album "In Rainbows" through their website. The band decided to provide their fans to download the album off the internet, allowing the fans to choose what they felt appropriate to pay for the songs. Lily believes by doing this, they've devalued recorded music. She believes it causes damage for new groups and cheats them out of the chance to make a living from their music. Lily said:
"It's arrogant for them to give their music away for free - they've got millions of pounds. It sends a weird message to younger bands who haven't done as well. You don't choose how to pay for eggs. Why should it be different for music?"
Well, I guess Lily does have a point. It does make it harder for less popular upcoming musicians to make money when they put out their first album if the more experienced musicians are either giving it away for free or allowing people to pay very little for it. However, it is their music and they can do whatever the hell they want. I'm sure the fans really appreciated what they did.
