 Rumors are running rampant on the internet that Blink 182 and + 44 drummer Travis Barker is dead. “travis barker dead” is currently one of the hottest search terms on Google.

The rumor apparently started with social networking site Myspace on bulletins declaring (sic):

Turn speakers up!…

Last night on November 13th famous drummer Travis Barker was found dead in his garage. “He was found in his garage coming home from a dinner/award ceremony.” said reporter Tom Burry.

  • Hes not a drummer... hes probably some of the best talent we have today... and he was not only in blink 182... He has been in many other bands... and side projects... so if your baseing his talent off one band your just ignorant... He plays all different sorts of music, with different styles, and some bands like Blink call for simple beats...

    Anywho if it is true... we lost a great drummer in todays day and age... which is sad because we don't have very many worthy musicians now days...

    The rumors that Travis Barker has died are completely false. Shanna posted a bulletin on her MySpace, saying:

  • I can't believe he died, it is a true tragedy. Such a shame to see such a talented drummer cut down in his prime.

    All these, "He didn't die!" rumors only gave false hope to those that could only turn their back on the truth.

    It's wonderful to know that people go to TMZ for reassurance. What is the world coming to. It's truly a shame.
