Jessica Simpson's Love Quest: Boys Need Not Apply

“As far as boys go, I don’t need ‘em. I want a man,” Jessica said on Thursday’s “The View,” earning her applause from the audience.

The 27-year-old Jessica, who sat in as co-host on the morning gab fest, said not just any man will do.

“Somebody who is a really great family guy. Like if a kid were to come up to him and tug on his shirt, he’d pick him up and twirl him around,” Jessica revealed. “I definitely love a family man – a guy that’s not afraid to pick up the babies.”

“Somebody that wants to meet my grandparents immediately,” she added.

But when it comes to riches, Jessica apparently isn’t too worried about a guy’s bank account.

“I’ve got that covered,” she laughed.

However, there is one certain asset she’d prefer her man to have.

“If he has a cute butt, that’s alright,” Jessica smiled.

And until she finds her perfect mate, Jess said she’s found something to keep her busy.

“I’m kind of married to my music right now. I’m focusing on writing an album,” she revealed.
