Yes, we are some evil skanks who love to talk some about celebrities, separating the weak and often bra-less from the herd so that we may feast upon their unwitting, doe-eyed flesh in a snarky, blood-thirsty glee reserved specifically for gossip bloggers. However, when one of our prey manages to escape our clutches and reinvent themselves utilizing a process as scientific and ancient as photosynthesis--a makeover--we grudgingly give credit where credit is due.

In the spirit of that, I present to you, the new Tara Reid. I recently spoke with Yvonne Brown (of the Salon Roman) on La Cienega here in Los Angeles about the newer, softer look Tara was sporting at the pre-Grammy parties she attended on both Friday and Saturday to discuss how the hell she did it. Yvonne, who worked in tandem with her sister, Melissa Brown (of Neil George in Beverly Hills) tag-teamed Tara for nearly eight hours to create her golden-blonde look and for real, y'all, Tara's looking glam.

Tara was sporting her wavy golden tresses to Justin Timberlake's party on Friday and even though she was scheduled for some retouches on Saturday, she was actually able to maintain the look enough to attend Clive Davis' party that night with nary a visit to the salon.

Yvonne said that she thought she was going to experience some resistance from the "Taradise" star initially, but said that she was "a really cool girl" and pretty much just trusted the two sisters to help her get rid of that platinum do that she said is going to be a thing of the past.

Has Tara officially handed off her torch to one wackily-dressed Britney Spears? Only time will tell, y'all. Only time will tell.
