Chris Daughtry proved that failure is just a stepping stone when he received three awards at the 35th American Music Awards.
Daughtry ruled the roost of the awards by winning all them which he was nominated for. The awards that he won include: favorite pop/rock album for ‘Daughtry, as well as breakthrough artist and adult contemporary artist.
The season was scintillating for Chris Daughtry and his band that finished fourth in the conspicuous fifth season of American Idol. Daughtry shared the spoils with other ‘Idol’ contestant Carrie Underwood, who also scooped three wins for favorite female country artist, favorite country album for ‘Some Hearts,’ and the T-Mobile text-in award voted for by fans.
Timberlake, who is currently touring Australia accepted his award via satellite link, deemed it ‘awesome’.
Underwood won the award for her ‘Some Hearts’. She also won the T-Mobile text-in award (voted for by fans). Timberlake received the award for his album ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds.” The special International Artist award went to Beyonce that puts her in the league of Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart and Aerosmith.
